Safety Officer – Offshore Marine

The opportunity

Chronicle is hiring a Safety Officer for an offshore marine operation in the GCC. The role supports day-to-day HSE implementation across vessel and shore activities, with a strong focus on operational discipline, risk control and client compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, audits and risk assessments.
• Monitor compliance with company HSE procedures and client requirements.
• Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety training, awareness activity and permit-to-work requirements.
• Maintain HSE records, reports and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with vessel crews, marine operations and management to improve safety performance.

What we are looking for

• Relevant HSE or safety qualification and practical marine/offshore experience.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment, incident reporting and operational safety controls.
• Experience in oil & gas, offshore support vessels or marine operations is highly preferred.
• Good communication, reporting and stakeholder-coordination skills.
