The opportunity
Chronicle is hiring a Port Engineer for an offshore marine operator supporting GCC operations. The role provides shore-based technical oversight across vessel maintenance, reliability, repair planning and engineering compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Support technical management of vessel mechanical, electrical and auxiliary systems.
- Plan preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections and dry-docking activity.
- Coordinate spare parts, vendors, repair services and technical documentation.
- Liaise with vessel chief engineers, class, surveyors and internal operations teams.
- Monitor equipment performance and support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Maintain technical records, maintenance history and compliance documentation.
What we are looking for
- Marine or mechanical engineering background with offshore vessel exposure.
- Strong experience with planned maintenance systems, repairs and technical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with engines, thrusters, generators, pumps, electrical systems and deck machinery.
- Experience with class requirements, dry-docking and technical audits is valuable.
