The opportunity
Chronicle is hiring a Port Captain for an offshore marine operator supporting GCC oil & gas activities. The role provides shore-based marine oversight across vessel operations, safety, compliance and client requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide marine operational support to vessel masters and offshore teams.
- Monitor vessel readiness, navigational and marine compliance, inspections and operational performance.
- Coordinate with clients, port authorities, charterers and internal technical/HSE teams.
- Support incident review, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Ensure marine procedures and client requirements are consistently followed.
What we are looking for
- Strong seagoing and shore-based marine operations experience.
- Previous command or senior deck-officer background is highly valuable.
- Experience with offshore support vessels and GCC oil & gas operations.
- Strong knowledge of marine safety, class, flag and client compliance requirements.
