Liner Manager – Dubai

The opportunity

We are hiring a Liner Manager based in Dubai. This role leads shipping agency operations, documentation and commercial coordination, with responsibility for service quality, operational efficiency and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Operations, Documentation and Commercial teams.
• Work closely with principals and agency offices on vessel operations and service requirements.
• Manage equipment forecasts, empty-container repositioning, long-stay containers, and maintenance and repair coordination.
• Maintain effective relationships with ports, terminals, customs, depots and other operational partners.
• Negotiate feeder rates and coordinate service arrangements.
• Act as an authorised signatory for export bills of lading within delegated authority.
• Resolve operational queries, documentation issues and claims.
• Review vendor invoices and prepare performance and cost reports.
• Plan team resources and leave coverage to maintain service continuity.

What you bring

• Relevant experience in a Dubai shipping agency or liner shipping environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of shipping operations and documentation.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating with principals.
• Sound commercial judgement, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
